In 1989, while still young and the father of a girl barely six months old, I found myself without a job. It was during this job search stage that I had my first encounter with the world of painting. This event took place on the picturesque island of Cozumel. After months of unsuccessful job search, exhausted and melancholy, I entered a museum where I found an imposing book with a black and gold cover that captured my attention. Upon opening its pages, I came across for the first time the works of the great masters of art such as Vincent Van Gogh, Cézanne, Renoir, Picasso, among others. The emotion I felt at that moment marked a turning point in my life. I told myself, “This is what I want to do for the rest of my life.” It was at that moment that I made a crucial and challenging decision, to embrace art as my passion.

However, the road to the realization of my dream of “living art” was not easy. Over the years, my family and I have faced enormous difficulties, including times of great scarcity. However, I persisted with determination to meet the basic needs of my family. The determination and conviction not to give up was stronger than any adversity we faced.

Today, after countless years of effort, study, and perseverance, I am honored to share my unique vision of art with the world. My artistic approach is based on capturing the essence of the modern age by fusing traditional elements with a fresh and bold perspective. Every stroke, color and shape that I use has a purpose and a meaning that is intertwined with the fabrics of society, nature and cultural identity.

My works serve as windows into the convergence between the individual and the universal, where personal stories intertwine with larger narratives.
